Hi Jakub! Indeed that is unclear. I am speaking of the generator part of the generator discriminator couple in a GAN architecture! I agree that I could add more details to make this clear. It’s just that gans ring a bell to most people compared to autoencoders. (and it is also trained with a discriminator even though I do not enter into the training process in this article!)
